MCA of Maryland was established in 1927. Its members design, build, retrofit, replace, maintain and service mechanical and plumbing systems and piping systems in residential, commercial, institutional, industrial and government buildings and complexes.
MCA of Maryland's objectives are:
- Development of the industry of the installation of sanitary plumbing and drainage systems, steam and hot water heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, sprinkler systems, industrial and process piping and piping in all its forms.
- The standardization of materials and methods used in the industry.
- The improvement in the character of work done and labor employed.
- The advancement of the industry in all its branches by better public service.
- The representation solely of those employers who delegate their bargaining rights to the Association in their relations with employees and any group or groups which may represent their employees.
- Combating unfair labor practices and the elimination of unsatisfactory conditions in the trade.
